Co-presidents' Corner for February 2012

Welcome to Second Semester at Livsey! Thanks to everyone for a very successful first semester for the PTA sponsored activities and events.

Congratulations and thank you to the fourth and fifth grade students for their performance at January’s PTA meeting. The students collaborated to present four folktales from around the globe and their production included some of their own composed music.

Your child’s class will have the chance to “show some Livsey love” at their class Valentine party which will be held at 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday, February 14th in their classrooms. If you would like to participate or provide treats for your student’s class, please contact your room parent.

We hope to see everyone at Livsey’s annual family-school dance on Friday, February 24 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the cafeteria. We would like to remind you that the school dance is for Livsey students and their younger siblings only. There are no drop offs; a parent or guardian must attend with your child(ren). However, new this year, adults will not have to pay admission!

We are also looking forward to seeing everyone at Shorty’s for Livsey Family Night Out on February 27. You may go at any time during the day and a portion of your check will benefit our PTA. There’s no school on February 17 and February 20. Happy Presidents’ Day! Finally, save the date for our Walk to School Day on March 7. More details will follow through email and your child’s courier.

Sincerely,
Kathy Hufford and Heather Leo
PTA Co-Presidents
